Tejas Networks appoints Anil Batra as President- Sales
Bangalore, Nov 21, 2008 – Tejas Networks today announced the appointment of Anil Batra as President- Sales, Marketing & Support. Anil will lead the worldwide sales efforts, as Tejas expands its market presence internationally. Prior to joining Tejas, Anil served in senior sales positions as Vice President International Sales at Meru Networks (USA), Vice President Global Accounts at Juniper Networks (USA) & President-Sales, Cisco Systems, India & SAARC.

About Anil Batra
Anil Batra joins Tejas Networks as the President of Sales, Marketing & Support. Most recently, Batra served as the VP of International Sales at Meru Networks and prior to that VP- Global Accounts at Juniper Networks.
A 30-year industry veteran, Anil Batra started the operations of Cisco Systems in India and was the President of India and the SAARC Region for Cisco Systems from 1994 to 2000. He was responsible for developing the networking market in India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal. Under Batra’s leadership Cisco witnessed a hundred per cent growth in the Indian subcontinent year on year and maintained its number one position in the Indian networking industry.
Batra holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering as well as a Master of Science degree in Computer Science.
